Easter at Floppy Fabrics

Hello all, just realised its been a long time since I "blogged"! To be honest I am not great at writing about what's going on and am quite sceptical as to why anyone would care but here goes! It's been pretty quite over Easter, usual flow of online orders but I suspect that with a touch of sunshine people are rightly turning to their gardens to give them the first cut and plant the first bulbs of spring. Personally I think that this is great weather for sewing as you can actually see what you are sewing! There are some lovely new ranges in stock to shop from at www.floppyfabrics.ie. A personal favourite is the 3Sisters Favourites range which came in this week and there are more to come. I am making a log cabin quilt in this range so hope to have that soon. The "Daysail" range is available in jelly roll and charm pack and I have to say I love the bright colours in this range. Anyway enough for now have a browse on the website and see for yourself all the lovely fabrics. I am off to plan the Easter Bunny egg hunt for the morning!! Happy Easter to one and all, joexxx

Floppy Fabrics July Newsletter

Hello again to one and all and once again a special welcome to the newcomers who have recently subscribed for the Floppy Fabrics newsletter and have “Liked” my Floppy Fabrics Facebook page.

If you haven’t liked my Facebook page can you have a look and share some of my posts. Facebook is a great way to post news quickly and easily and I would love to be reaching more interested people!!!

I hope that you are all enjoying the glorious weather we are having at the moment and that the sewing machine has been gently moved to a position in the sun where you can sew and catch some rays at the same time!!! We are just back from two weeks soaking up the Sunshine in Spain so it was a pleasant welcome home to even more sunshine!!! Great fun was had by all but it is nice to be home and to catch up on some neglected work!!!

I have put up some items on the website that are not so newly arrived but which I had not had a chance to post. There are some lovely new fat quarter bundles and I have Pheasant Hill, Lario and plain natural Layer Cakes now in stock. I also have one Posy Jelly Roll left and I have Lario and plain natural Jelly Rolls. The plain Jelly Rolls and Layer Cakes are great to save cutting when you are making a quilt and need plains for sashing!!!

I am currently just finishing off a Cot Quilt Kit with the lovely Circus Fabric. This should be on the website next week.

For those of you who are organised now is the time to start planning those Xmas projects. We have some lovely Advent Calendars and Xmas Stockings in stock and a load of co-ordinating fabrics. Get those thinking caps on and be prepared!!!!

Thats all the news for now. Enjoy the sun and keep sewing!!!

Best wishes,

Joe

Floppy Fabrics Update

Hi there,

Joe here in Floppy Fabrics. Hope you all had a lovely Valentines Day! We are expecting an order in from Stof next week which from recollection had some gorgeous Spring colours so keep an eye on the website. If you like quilting magazines, pick up a copy of the March edition of Patchwork and Quilting UK which is in the shops now. We have an add in a few places so see if you can find them all!! Hope you all have a lovely weekend, happy sewing,

Joe
